Spring, 18th Turn, 11th Pass
Western Hold welcomes new blood in the form of a young couple, Lord Holder Basasius and Lady Holder Baria. A grand Gather is being hosted by Western Hold to welcome their new Lord and Lady.
While the new Lords settle into Western there has been talk and speculation about the western continent's other Hold. It has been two turns since his wife's passing in the south, when will Lord Callum decide to take up a new wife?
Spring has woken an abundance of plant life across Pern with intermittent spring showers helping to sate the growth's never ending thirst. With the end of snow and cold comes Thread once more; Dalibor's wings have no doubt been reduced due to losses over the winter but none the less they persevere.

Seiyrsha of Green Oath
Member Inventory: View
Seiyrsha definitely has the temper and stubbornness said to go with her flaming red hair. She has very little ability at present to hold her tongue well or keep her temper under wraps when someone has insulted or irritated her. That said, everything she feels, she feels very strongly. A passionate person, she is given to letting her emotions, rather than her brain, rule her actions. Impulsive and straightforward, she says what she is thinking, often to her detriment. She speaks before thinking, often resulting in saying hurtful things--or doing them. It can be said that she is at least very communicative and to the point. She will lie if she has to, but because she is bad at it, being blatant and honest are usually the outcomes.
If someone wants a good laugh, it can at least be said Seiyr is humorous. Some of the things to come out of the girl's mouth are downright funny--even if they are not intended to be. She is very sarcastic and witty, without trying. Her tongue is probably the sharpest thing about her at this point. She is extremely flirtatious, even if she might be leading a person on to think she's more interested than she actually is. She has no follow-through, and has actually never bedded anyone and is nervous at the prospect. It contrasts sharply with her behavior, which has people thinking otherwise. She is shallow and will flirt with any man she finds attractive, to the point of embarrassing herself if there's no mutual interest. She is very possessive of the people she likes, and easily jealous. She is overconfident, yet also puts on a good show of things to hide the fact when she is not.
As a friend, she'll gladly defend someone with her tongue, at least. Yet physically, she isn't any stronger than an average girl of her height and weight. She hasn't seen hard work, and she doesn't run, or train herself in any way. She is definitely average and afraid of people who are stronger than she is, though she'd not admit it. It's fair to say she can be a bit of a coward, since she would definitely prefer flight over physically fighting. She wishes she knew how to defend herself, and as a dragon candidate at least will get this wish and also be forced to get into better shape. She doesn't like to get dirty, and is very 'girly' in this way. Breaking a nail or getting dirty aren't things she enjoys. She is squeamish around blood or gore of any kind. Shaffit is something she doesn't even want to admit she makes, let alone be bothered with. It should be very interesting to see how becoming a dragonrider will cause her to develop!

Standing at 5'10", with clear light-blue eyes and bright red hair, Seiyr is aware she stands out in a crowd. Like most with her hair color, she is quite pale and tends to burn easily rather than tan. However, unlike many, she hasn't got the spattering of familiar freckles that many ginger-haired persons sport. Instead she has been blessed with a creamy, mostly unmarred complexion. Tall, she is lean and slender in build, her curves not overly small, but certainly not hourglass with her height and build. A moderate bust and hip size, she considers herself to be attractive enough and is fairly vain. In build she is slender and it is clear that she hasn't spent a whole lot of time being all that active. Because of her age, and the fact that she isn't precisely lazy, she hasn't really much fat on her. Yet if she continues to not be as active as some others are, she might find herself behind in physical strength and maintaining her weight the way she likes to do.
She loves clothing, and make-up, as well as jewelry. Dresses and pretty things easily make her happy. Red and black are her colors of primary choice, and yet light blue and emerald green are just as readily worn. She likes form-fitting and pretty, and lace and ribbon. She is certainly girly, and isn't a fan of wearing more masculine clothing. She hates to get dirty and dislikes breaking nails so tries to be careful to do neither.

Taesan (14, Half-brother)
Seiyrsha was born in summer at Telgar, the child of a Masterhealer, Seirann, and a greenrider named Liaesha, was a spoiled daddy's girl from the get go. Her father coddled her, and let her get away with everything. Her mother wasn't a part of her life--not really. Gifts on name days until she was twelve turns, and then nothing save glimpses and polite smiles and waves. Seiyr hated that, as she wanted her mother's validation and the woman only cared about her dragon. Not just that, she knew she had half-siblings all over the Weyr and it annoyed her...she thought her mother a pillowcrafter. Still, even with that thought, she grew up to be just as shallow and flirtatious as her mother was.
She was a bright enough but fairly lazy child. She would coerce others into doing work that was meant for her, and tended to think much of herself. She wasn't exactly the nicest individual, either. The people she made friends with were people she felt were 'good enough' to be friends with. Anyone who was not the child of a dragonrider or someone important, she tended to dismiss as less important. The exception to this was greenriders, whom she tended to disdain thanks to her mother. She always wanted to be close to her mother, who denied her that and continued on to have more children--half-siblings Seiyr ignored and pretended did not exist--with other men that caught her green during flights. She swore up and down she would never Impress a green herself, dismissing the likelihood that this would happen to her.
She was quite genius at designing clothing and jewelry both. If she hadn't decided to be a candidate, as was her right, it is likely she would have attained her Mastery as a Weaver. As it was, she chose to Stand. Insisted that she wanted to have a dragon too. Dragons meant freedom to her. In her naivety, she ignored the reality: how much work a dragon was. Still, she was always stubborn and had a mind of her own. Her father didn't want her to Stand, since he would have liked her to take on a craft and didn't believe dragonriding was safe. Yet he didn't dissuade her either. He always supported every decision his daughter made, be it for good or for ill. The decision he would not support, however, was her request to transfer to Dalibor Weyr.
She had stood a few times, and each time, the dreaded idea that she might Impress to a green terrified her. So, she asked to transfer to Dalibor. There were so many other colors there that the chances, in her mind, were considerably slimmer. She was old enough to make up her own mind, though her father was displeased and wanted to have her at Telgar instead. She promised she would come back to Telgar after graduation--little did she know, she wouldn't be keeping that promise.

Couineth x Baihujinth
Oath is majestic and nimble, she is the type of dragon Holders think of when they think of a dragon coming to their hold. It is as though she were a harper dancer, her grace is truly something to behold.
She can sometimes be traditional. In some ways, she would be better suited to the old Pern than the one into which she was born. Although she is highly traditional and not afraid to voice her opinions on anything from mutations to Dalibor’s general political state, she does not do it in a rude way but rather wishes to debate every point. Oath listens thoughtfully to each point and if she does not have a counter may spend many days considering the point until she either agrees with it or has a rebuttal. In this way, she might spend a full sevenday thinking over something and then bring up the debate once more. Unfortunately this can sometimes fall into other perceptions such as ladies should dress this way, men this way, or ladies should speak like this. However she is willing to drop the point if it is proven why this is not the case. Her ideas on traditions do not extend to her views of roles as she believes anyone can do anything if they set their minds to it. Those who say otherwise are not worth the worry.
In a lot of ways, Oath is like her namesake. If she makes a promise, there is nothing she won’t do to ensure that it is kept. Oath stays true to her word and almost cannot even lie to others. She would not be a good politically minded dragon, but can easily act as a conscience to someone. In some ways, she sees things as black and white. There is good and evil. Her traditional views can sometimes get in the way of accepting rulings on legal matters.
Oath is a calming force amongst people. Even when it would seem the world is collapsing around her, she has an amazing ability to pick up the pieces and attempt to rebuild. Oath never rises to a taunt and rarely fights back. If anyone she cared for were threatened though, there would be no end to the pain she could bring.
Unlike her siblings, Oath could probably use human cutlery if they made it in dragon size. She will sometimes use her foreclaws to almost ‘cut’ the meat and then eat it in smaller pieces with grace, dignity and elegance.
