Western Hold welcomes new blood in the form of a young couple, Lord Holder Basasius and Lady Holder Baria. A grand Gather is being hosted by Western Hold to welcome their new Lord and Lady.

While the new Lords settle into Western there has been talk and speculation about the western continent's other Hold. It has been two turns since his wife's passing in the south, when will Lord Callum decide to take up a new wife?

Spring has woken an abundance of plant life across Pern with intermittent spring showers helping to sate the growth's never ending thirst. With the end of snow and cold comes Thread once more; Dalibor's wings have no doubt been reduced due to losses over the winter but none the less they persevere.

Hello lovely Daliborians!

In light of a few isolated incidents the staff would like to remind all members that the rules clearly outline the proper means of communicating issues with staff.

QUOTE
If you have an issue with another player that cannot resolved between the two of you, bring it to the attention of the staff with a PM addressed to all head admins and moderators. If you have an issue with a member of the staff or with the site, the procedure is the same. You can leave out a staff member on your PM if you wish, but understand that most issues will be discussed collectively.

Not only does this apply to issues with other players but any important issues that you may feel need to be addressed but are not appropriate to discuss on the forums themselves. By messaging only one moderator or admin via on site PM or on their private messenger you are actually slowing down the process of discussion - issues are always discussed collectively and no one admin or moderator will ever make promises or decisions without addressing the others. In the past there were many issues with a staff member having a private conversation with someone and making promises that were never discussed with the staff as a whole - this led to a lot of animosity. If all staff members receive the same information at the same time the discussion can begin quickly rather than requiring staff member A to have to explain it to staff members B and C.

Additionally please keep in mind that the rules prohibit harassment of any kind be it via cbox, PM, or messaging off-site via other means:
QUOTE
Do not harass other players or the staff.

If a player or staff has asked you to drop a topic that makes them uncomfortable and you continue that can be considered harassment. We want this to be a fun experience for everyone - harassment is not fun for anyone. We want to encourage our members to chat, plot, and have fun! That is why a number of members and staff choose to mill about in the cbox chatting and/or share their off-site messenger names. The last thing we want is for anyone to feel as if they must avoid cbox or their off-site messenger.

So let's keep things fun and if any issues occur please reach out to the staff in the appropriate way so we can address your issues in a prompt manner. http://files.jcink.net/uploads/daliborweyr/smiley/Heart.png Thank you!
