This thread exists to help keep announcements, contests, and other changes from getting buried or otherwise lost from member view.

If you have any questions or think there's something that needs to be posted here, please PM the admin/moderator team.

FEBRUARY-MARCH OMNIBUS EDITION:

- Promoted new staff.

- Massive updates to records!

- Added openings for some leadership positions.

- Announced a Pernese expansion of a new NPC weyr.

- Started the transfer contest! Contest closes April 1.

- Added a new mark incentive for posting in event threads, to start April 1.

The mark incentive for participating in event threads (plots, lessons, celebrations, and hatchings) has doubled! Check the first post here to see the updated amounts.

It's August!

As a reminder to everyone with any leadership position - you have two months before the activity check to meet activity requirements. Meeting requirements nets you a mark bonus! Not meeting them may result in demotion.

Cleaned out expired adoption and face claim reserves. Remember that these are limited time and that there is a cooldown on re-reserving a claim!

Calendar updated! Advertising contest is coming!

- Advertising Contest is over and prizes are all awarded.

- New position for a wherlingmaster has been posted.

- A new preferences section has been added to candidate apps. All segments of this are optional, but this will allow people to be as specific or unspecific as they need to be.

- A new hatching information template has been added for hatchrunners and will be first showcased at the next hatching!

- New threads for IC and OOC hatching etiquette have been added to the Library. Read it, learn it, love it!

- Activity check has concluded and inactive accounts removed. Characters belonging to inactive accounts have been moved appropriately as per the preference listed in their character will.

- Open positions posted for wingleaders, prideleaders, and prideseconds.

- New subforum added to the Character Registration board: The Wanteds Board. This allows players to post requests and/or information about characters they are looking for others to pick up in order to play with theirs! (I.E. Family members, friends, romantic interests, etc!)

- Contest to introduce a new Lord and Lady Holder of Western Hold has been posted. Ends November 10th!

- Big update for pages! Pride, wing, dragon, wher, and pet pages have been updated!

- Form added for those with new transfer riders/handlers who have yet to be placed in a wing or pride - post here.

- Wher/weyrling lesson post requirements added - lesson links posted on the 'Bulletinboard' in their respective barracks.

- Info on how to properly communicate with staff posted to allow players to reach out in a way that facilitates quick replies and resolution.

- Info on hatchings posted for better transparency between staff and members.

- Added the ability to create and adopt adoptable NPC's, behaving largely like regular adoptables.

- Implemented adoptable character slots.

- Updated guidelines for how this impacts impression preferences.

- Updated the marks claim thread to include new reasons to claim marks and combine it with the flight marks thread. NOTE: Please do not repost any existing flight marks claims (or any other marks claim) in the marks claim thread. If we find you have double-claimed we will nullify both marks claims.

- Updated the Wing and Pride pages. Promoted two new Wingleaders, a Wingsecond, a Weyrlingmaster, and a Prideleader.

- Updated and posted current open positions for members to apply for.

- New plot is up and running, welcome to the jungle!

- Pet pages updated!

- New Blood of Western Hold contest has ended as of 11/10, winners will be announced soon!™

- Updated library pages to add in two new species found during the exploration in the south. Treetails and Treesnakes. Added additional pages to track current PCs of each species.

- Updated rules surrounding weyrlings and wherlings owning non-bonding non-adult pets while living in the barracks. Rule is outlined here and has been added to the IC Weyrling Rules on the Weyrling Barracks' bulletin board. Update to Wherling board still pending.

- Update to rules here and here. Be sure to read if you have transferred a character out and may have second thoughts about them coming back or if you have a character up for impression from the stands! New token has been added to the store in line with the stands impression rule.

- Winners of New Blood of Western Hold were announced and characters accepted - congrats to RhiaBlack and Captain!

- Flight/Run List was updated to include the winners of the firelizard flight/hatching contest! Congrats to Zane, Ruriko, and Blot who will be running hatchings in a few months!

- OOC Calendar updated to include these flights and subsequent hatchings as well!

- Update to handler/rider room assignments, if your character does not have one assigned to them be sure to post on the appropriate thread in order to have them added!

- Wings list updated to include all new junior weyrlings as well as removing inactive players characters.

- Updates to Wings and Prides pages to reflect recent character movement.

- Updated the Leadership page to reflect open positions as well as recent promotions.

- Posted this contest so members can apply a new Lady Holder for Crescent Hold! Contest runs until February 14th, 2018 at 12 (noon) PST!

- Updates to all pet pages to reflect recent character movement.

- Christmas Random Firelizard Eggs were sent to all members on December 25th, if you have not yet turned in your egg and posted in the Main Stall to roll it don't forget to! The eggs cannot be traded, sold, etc however the firelizards resulting from the rolls can be! Please do not pester other members, if they wish to trade, sell, etc they will post somewhere announcing it!

- Update to the IC Leadership page, posted all current open positions! Current open positions include: Wingleader, Wingseconds (2), Wherlingmasters (2), Betahandlers (2), Prideseconds (6). All requirements are listed - go apply now!!

- Updates to ADO page. Characters from before most recent activity check without reserves have been removed. Update to checklist/rules regarding ADOs, be sure to check them out! New characters added to ADOs.

- Many IC leadership promotions have been passed out. Congratulations, all!

- a survey was conducted to help us pick which pieces of the staff to-do list were most wanted and gather new opinions and ideas. More updates to come!

- Massive updates in how our information is organized! This should be more accessible for new members and old alike.

- New activity rewards and recruitment incentive have been added. The 'earning marks' thread has been updated accordingly.

- Creation of new ADO-NPC riders and handlers to add to the list for people to adopt has been opened again! We're currently accepting ADO profiles for 20 riders and 10 handlers.

- Prrrrromotions! Congrats to new advertiser, Captain, and new historian, Tobes!

- Forums have been reorganized some more! Be sure to familiarize yourself with where things are.

- Added a new member group! The Welcome Wagon is there to help new members feel at home - go ahead and read the details and volunteer if you're up for the challenge!

Added new membership anniversary rewards!

Updated species information to include the available color gradients for a given color of dragon/wher/firelizard.

Added new information on dragonless characters.

Hatching spots for dragons and whers are open for signups until February 23rd!

- This year's wher and dragon clutches have been selected!

- A new lady holder has been selected for Crescent - congratulations!

- Updated the marks claim rules: flights and runs will now be counted as event threads and follow the same rules as event threads. This is for the current ongoing flight and all going forward, it is not retroactive to completed flights/runs.

- With the above, onscreen nonclutching wher and dragon flights/runs are limited to one per female per OOC year. We will not be scheduling nonclutching pet flights/runs. Staff reserves the right to further limit nonclutching activities if this is being abused or if too many are being scheduled at a time.

- The Event Calendar has been updated to reflect future flights/runs and the subsequent hatchings!

- Clutch sign-ups are open until March 23rd, 2018 at NOON PST. If you have a pillie, firelizard, or rosey be sure to check it out!

A reminder that our activity check is coming up in April. All players with leadership positions are encouraged to check if they have appropriate requirements met in posts from October through March inclusive. If you have been promoted in the past six months, your activity requirements are proportionate to the time you've held that position (i.e. a weyrlingmaster who's been a weyrlingmaster for 1 month, needs 1 post).
