Upcoming Flights/Runs:
Copper Laanasuth
Copper Zelsk

Upcoming Hatchings:
Red Cereza
Green Quince

Wedding bells ring out to celebrate the joining of Lord Callum to Lady Shuli. A grand gather has been put together with people from all over Pern coming to celebrate! Crescent is full to the brim with those who wish to show their support and those just looking to make (or spend) a few marks!

Copper Zelsk shook things up at the Copper Class graduation feast by beginning her run shortly after the knots were delivered to her handler. Bronze Osk won Zelsk's maiden run and now a sizable clutch lays on the sands hardening. Not to be outdone by the ground-bound copper, Copper Laanasuth took to the skies the very next day - though her flight was not as cut and dry as the wher's run had been. Offended by the force catch attempt of a presumptuous burgundy Laanasuth betweened to High Reaches Weyr where one of their dragons won her flight. Though she has returned to Dalibor and laid a large clutch for Dalibor's candidates the Weyr awaits the transfer of the dragon sire and his rider, Dalibor's newest Junior Weyrleader.

Since there was a quite possible Hatching going on in a few sevendays, Tarele wasn’t about to keep the basket filled of sand that held Tienna’s clutch to the Dining Hall not wanting to have to host a Hatching in his qarters. Though the Orange wasn’t exactly happy with the move or where she found herself in she was too loyal and respected his opinion too much to Tarele for her to do anything much more that irritably hiss at whoever got too close to her basket.

It was a rather cold Autumn evening, one of the two times in a day that both wherhandlers and Dragonriders interacted to any significant degree, the Orange was dozing the position that she had been pretty much stayed in since laying the clutch. Of course this wasn’t going to last with how the blue egg was twitching insistently, it took a few seconds for the mother of the clutch to notice but once she did Tienna sent a mental image to Tarele who was already in the Dining Hall. “If anyone wants a firelizard, they are free to come up here, though I don’t suggest getting too close to the basket, the mother Tienna isn’t exactly the friendliest of fire lizards towards strangers,” said Tarele to no one in particular hoping that there would be enough people.

(OOC: See We Shine Like Rainbows for reference of eggs positions and colours.)

Lintara was down in the Dining Hall enjoying her breakfast with Lintask and her young son Tarzlo. The young woman was getting ready for patrol in about an hour, and wanted to touch base with her son before leaving.

The boy was growing taller every day, and looking more and more like her side of the family. In fact, the six turn-old bore a striking resemblance to a certain older cousin of hers, one long since deceased from the Wherry Plague a decade back. She'd have to remember to ask her surviving cousin M'teng about it, next time she saw him.

Of course it was the baby-loving wher that first noticed Tarele and his basket of eggs. Babies! the Cyan excitedly announced to Her people. Lintask take Hers, hatchling over to look at babies? Maybe bring one back to care for in den?. With that Lintask trotted over to where Tarele and the basket were at, to try and get a closer look at the eggs without getting swatted for her trouble.

"Yes, you can go look too," Lintara told her son when he gave her an inquisitive look. "Provided you stay by Lintask. I'll be over there myself in a moment, as soon as I get some meat for the babies." Based on what her cousin's Red could lay, she figured a bowl big enough for five hatchlings would be enough. And if not, well, this was the Dining Hall after all, and more food would be easy to get.

A more relaxed posture could not have been accomplished unless he were to pull over a bench or table and drape himself across it. Leaned back in a chair he had one leg splayed out while the other was bent with his foot tucked slightly under his chair. If he looked like he might be asleep it's because he was - eyes closed with a barely audible snore gave him away. Startling awake at the slight commotion caused by the handler announcing something. Rubbing his eyes he let out a yawn and stretched out before standing up and making his way over towards the handler. "Ah'm Se'ng, 'tis a nice little clutch you have here."

Flagging one of the working weyrfolk down he soon had a mug of klah in his hands which he sipped from after thanking the girl with a broad smile. "Little lady there is might pretty too."

Ladon and Phaerix blinked into the dining hall from between to land on the burgundyrider's shoulders, peering at the clutch. A soft peep of curiosity was offered from the younger of the pair as the burgundy bobbed his head in greeting to the clutch mother, "Looks like he's a bit taken by her as well."

For what felt like forever, Krysthanine heard nothing from her Blue. Not a peep, not a panic, nothing. Just a few warm feelings and flashes of eggshell in the back of her mind. It was… relaxing, to say the least. When it came close to the hatching, however, bright images of the fireplace in the Dining Hall became a regular occurrence, and so the grayrider found herself more often than not hanging out around the area during her evenings. It was nice, to a point; she got to eat tasty food, but she also had to deal with Whiting acting more of a protective mother than the standard dragon mother. As hilarious as it was, it did nothing to help her get a good night’s rest.

By the time they were finally hatching, Krys was more than happy for the event. Not because she wanted another flit – though she certainly wouldn’t turn a new member away – but because it meant that Whiting would stop being such a pain in her rear. She had been dozing in a chair not too far away when Tarele’s voice filtered into her mind. Eyes slid open ever so slowly before anything else moved, observing the small congregation that formed around the sand pot. Whiting flew at her, peeping and chirping in excitement, obviously wishing for her to join in on the fun. With a sigh, she waved the Blue away and snagged a bowl of meats. She lightly strummed the bowl as she heaved herself to her feet and towards the nest, tilting his head to and fro to loosen the joints. ”Looking forward to the festivities,” she murmured to Tarele, bopping her ever-worrisome Blue on the nose during one of his circuits around her person. Such a silly creature, he was. ”They’ve got a lovely clutch. I’m sure the children will be just as lovely.”

Tarele watched as a fellow wherhandler with her wher in toe, a young boy which was most likely hers or a close relation to her, and a slightly older than him Dragonrider. Aside from a quick greeting the Brownhandler for the large part kept quiet though he did feel embarrassed by how he didn’t remember to get meat for the people who were looking to have one of the firelizards of this clutch add to their fair. “Tienna would take great pride in hearing that,” said Tarele moving to see if he could get enough meat for the Hatching, which considering the timing would probably not be that hard before turning to Krysthanine. "Hopefully, though I have seen Dragonkin that look and act very differently from their parents."

Before he was really able to make any headway in that department, however, one of the eggs practically exploded causing egg shells to fly in all directions, with Tienna having to duck her head behind the largest egg to avoid some of it. It wasn’t the blue egg that hatched though, that one was still moving around quite fiercely, it was the pink egg that burst open revealing a Pink firelizard that though lighter than the egg shell was still a fairly bright shade of pink. She didn’t seem very impressed with how she came out though, with the Pink deciding to immediately go about covering herself in sand to the point where only her nostrils were poking out and even then it was hard to tell.

Despite the rather furious motion of the blue egg, it was beaten out yet again by another of its siblings this time the red egg with green specks that started twitching moments after the pink egg burst open with the red egg cracking open without plenty of warning. A Blue stepped out of the remains of his shell looking at the two people that were standing in front of him before making the quick hop to Tarzlo perching on his young shoulder making a sound akin to ‘Nice to meet you there partner’.

Impressed to: Tarzlo, Based off of: Applejack, Colour: Blue {#0243a0}

Honesty, hardwork, family, tradition, and practicality are just some of the values that this flitt puts most emphasis on something that other firelizards might not put much weight in though friends seems to also fall under family at times with him. He takes responsibility very seriously, if he makes a promise expect him to fulfill that promise regardless of whatever else he has to do that day and how tired he is at the time. On the other metaphorical hand he also tends to be quite stubborn and proud at times, can be quite nervous and unsure of himself if the objective is unclear, and though he’s good with helping others he has troubles asking for help himself which can be a major problem if he takes too much on. He is not above lying though he seems to only do it to protect others feelings and when he does he is generally pretty bad at it. This Blue favours function over form, no-nonsense, serious, level-headed, and quick thinking, though isn’t above using or doing something overly showy in order to prove a point and can actually pull this off well given enough motivation.

Warm hues of green peered over the rim of his mug as he took another long draw of klah. Though he looked a bit weary he was still attentive, watching as the hatched blue picked the young boy as his. "What do you reckon you'll name 'im?", he asked the boy with a grin. "Ah always have a hard time picking names, glad my dragon came with one or else he likely would have been called 'dragon' for all ah can figure." A chuckle and wink followed his words before he drew his mug up again for another sip. Looking over the rest of the eggs he glanced around to count those gathered, if he stuck around the numbers were in his favor - though it was curiosity more than anything that kept him standing there watching.

He managed to get through his mug of klah and exchanged it for a full mug as he watched the small clutch as well as the others gathered, a nod offered to the grayrider, "Hoping for another one like your little blue there?" A few steps to bring him closer to the rider before he offered, "Ah'm Se'ng."

Krysthanine chuckled for a moment, a soft, slightly raspy thing, at Tarele’s words. ”Truer words have never been spoken,” she mused to the handler, watching as Whiting took a keen interest in the bustling activity upon the table. One of the eggs has been twitching for a while now, it seems, but hasn’t quite made any progress in the hatching department. However, that didn’t stop two other eggs from bringing life into the world. A vibrant Pink and a hardy Blue, the latter wasting little time finding His. She smiled at the little boy who Impressed the babe, offering a thumbs-up with a free hand. ”You take good care of him, okay?” they grayrider chirped, her words much more lively than her demeanor. ”You take good care of him, and he’ll take good care of you. I’m sure of it.” She flashed the boy a big smile before turning her gaze to the man that had brought himself closer to her form.

Shoulders slumped a bit before hitching as a large yawn captured her lungs. Her smile waned into one of a softer variety as he spoke. He looked familiar, but she did not know him; her best guess was that he was in the other lower wing. Blue eyes flickered to his knots, where her guess was confirmed. ”A pleasure to meet you, Se’ng,” she said. ”I’m Krysthanine, though you can just call me Krys.” Whiting landed on her shoulder, winding his tail about her and creeling softly into her ear as she continued, ”Maybe. I’ve got two, Whiting here and Drahaus.” As if on cue, a smaller Black popped from between to steal away a couple hunks of meat. He perched himself on a table some distance away, nibbling contentedly. ”I wouldn’t be against it, but I’m perfectly happy keeping these two boys.” Her lips fell into an exasperated line. ”I’m just here ‘cuz Whiting here was acting as much of a mother hen as any Queen.” But she laughed a bit. A small, wry laugh. Because as much of a pain Whiting was, he was bringing some amusement to what would have been a fairly dull sevenday.

"What of you? Hoping to bring home a new companion for you and your dragon?"

Even with a rapidly growing dragon to take care of, Ly'on still couldn't resist seeing fire lizard hatchings. He squirmed between the tables to get closer, surrounded by his own collection of excited fire lizards. Stormy and Hero landed a respectful distance away, offering Tienna polite chirps of congratulations. Torch stayed on Ly'on's shoulder, silenting taking up what he considered the 'guard' position. Star poked her head out of a pocket, watching the eggs with curiosity.

Ly'on grinned at the new baby fire lizards when Gruyeth mentally grumbled. Do we need more flying rats? he complained in a grouchy tone. I thought I told yah to get a parrot! Ly'on refused to let his grumpy dragon ruin the mood. Gruyeth was always like this and Ly'on was starting to learn not to let it bother him so much. 'But these are better than parrots,' he insisted happily. 'They're like little dragon friends.' And monkeys are like little people, Gruyeth pointed out with a chuckle. Don't see me adopting one of them!

Ly'on shrugged and rolled his eyes. Sometimes he just couldn't win these arguments. Then again, Gruyeth hadn't convinced him not to like fire lizards either. He knew the dragon secretly liked all his flits, even if he was too proud to admit it.

~

N'rik was a bit late to the Dining Hall, but he was excited to see baby fire lizards. He hadn't been to a hatching in several turns. It never hurt to have more pets in his mind. Merrywings and Skysong agreed too, chirped excitedly from his shoulders. He waved to Tarele and grinned. "Nice eggs, your flit must be a good mom," he pipped up. He was careful not to get too close to Tienna as he started the conversation. His attention was grabbed briefly by the little blue and he couldn't help grinning again. Hopefully Onith wouldn't mind if he ended up bringing home a new friend.

{OOC: Sorry I'm late! I don't expect both my characters to get a flit, or either of them really. I just couldn't decide which to send. Feel free to chose who you wish!}

After two eggs hatched and the second one Impressed, the egg that caused people to assemble for the Hatching of Tienna’s clutch finally burst open, though not with the same force as the Pink earlier and was more intact than it especially the rainbow marking. What came out of the egg was a rather big contrast to the colour of the egg, a Burgundy by his size even with the less of a difference between sizes in firelizards compared to their Dragon counterparts. The Burgundy didn’t seem too interested in moving at the moment, instead moving to start cleaning himself off with his head soon turned away from the small group of people who were looking have him to add to their fairs. The Pink that Hatched earlier didn’t seem to want to leave the Burgundy much in the way of peace and quiet, though, with her rearing up out of the sand that she had buried herself in earlier making a sound akin to ‘Surprise!”

A good portion of the sand that the Pink flung landed on the Burgundy distracting him from cleaning himself turning his attention to the Pink. For a moment it looked like the Burgundy was going to attack the enthusiastic Pink in retaliation, but the Burgundy instead flopped on his back and made a series of sounds what could only be considered laughter before getting up and walking to the Pink. The sibling pair seemed to be deep in conversation for a while before the two launched themselves off of the basket into the air with the Burgundy taking a fast lead over the smaller Pink. The pair didn’t seem interested in Impressing just yet, taking a rather roundabout way back towards the small group from behind and Se’ng in particular the Burgundy poking the Burgundyrider before darting away only for the Pink to come up on the other side soon after. This happened several times before the Burgundy, seemingly tired from this decided to land on Se’ng’s shoulder looking rather proud of himself.

Impressed to: Se'ng, Based off of: Rainbow Dash, Colour: Burgundy {#57002f}

This Burgundy takes great pride in his accomplishments, for the most part in terms of speed something that even for a firelizard his size he is rather fast, and seems to be almost single-minded in accomplishing a goal he sets for himself. Stubborn, disinterested in things that don’t immediately seem to further his goal, impulsive, rude, an unrepentant prankster, and blunt are some of the difficulties one might face when living with this Burgundy. He can’t resist a challenge though, and is one of the better ways to get him to do something and most likely will be a common sight in a flight as a result. He is incredibly loyal to those he cares about and absolutely loathes bullies, frequently doing a complete turn-around on his opinion on any given situation if the ones he cares about are in danger or he sees bullying even if it means not achieving his goals at least for the time being. He also has a sense of fair play and justice (though his impulsive nature can sometimes override this) and admits when he is wrong, though it might take a while for him learn his lesson. Though he has plenty of confidence around those with a lower skill level than he does, his confidence level can be all but non-existent around those of a similar or higher skill level, and has hero worshipping tendencies.

The Pink seemed to not want to Impress just yet though with her returning to the basket, the yellow with pink swirls egg shook slightly before a piece fell out of it though the Hatchling inside didn’t seem terribly interested in coming out. The Pink didn’t seem, for better or for worse, content with her sibling just leaving that for the time being placing a claw on the egg with the egg falling fairly quickly if with some force. Standing in the middle of the remains of her shell was a pale Pink turning her head left and right clearly nervous even with her sister and fellow Pink standing right in from of her and the largest egg behind her. Of course the brighter Pink didn’t seem to notice straight away with her trying to strike up a conversation with her for a while making sounds and movements with the other Pink didn’t seem interested. The pale Pink did focus on one thing though that being Taresk and that was hardly a good think darting behind the biggest egg though that wasn't good either seeing as Tienna was behind there and the Pink was to nervous to ask her own mother if it was all right to lye there with her for a while. Scrambling out of the basket onto the table and shortly thereafter onto the floor the Pink ran to Ly'on's feet staring up at him expectantly making a sound like 'help'.

Based off of: Fluttershy, Colour: Pink {#fcaef2}

This Pink is introverted and at times painfully shy having a hard time communicating with other Dragonkin and people without a similar frame of reference. She is surprisingly good with all kinds of other pets, even the fiercest among them, having a surprising amount of confidence in handling them rather than in social situations and can be intimidating when she wants to be around them. She is also kind, motherly, soft-spoken, empathetic, and has a great deal of patience though she also tends to have low self-confidence and put the opinions of others above her own opinions and at times safety. This Pink has a great fear of whers, even the sweetest of whers tends to cause her some fear which ranges from increased anxiety to trembling in fear with forgetting that she can fly being a common occurrence. Her biggest fear, however, seems to be disappointing others, especially those whose opinion she holds in the highest regard (mostly her friends) and seems to hate scaring people. Don’t push this Pink too far or hurt those that she cares about, though she is slow to anger when she does this Pink will put up a fight whether physically or verbally as fierce as a much bigger flit.

Se'ng chuckled as the firelizard hatchlings stole his attention away from the other rider for a moment, "Ah'm not so sure Freyotth would appreciate me bringing home another mouth to feed." Shrugging he took another sip of his hot klah before looking behind him when he felt a poke. The quick little burgundy zipped by, followed soon after by the pink and he watched as they looped back around - feeling another poke as the burgundy passed. "Oh hello there little one..." Yet the firelizard continued on with his sister, zipping this way and that. Attention shifting back to Krys he gave a sheepish grin, "Ah'm actually only here because ah happened to doze off over there. Figured ah'd check out the newest members of the weyr."

No sooner had he finished speaking when he felt extra weight on his shoulder. He was not the only one to feel that he now had a new companion - Lotan scurried out of the bag settled against the burgundyrider's side to peek over his free shoulder. A soft hiss was offered from the tunnelsnake to the hatchling, one that was mimicked by Akurra as she joined her mate along the man's side and back. Reaching up he flicked his fingers towards their faces only to earn a gentle nip at his fingers from each of them, "He's not a snack you two, mind your manners," to the burgundy he added, "Well I suppose if you plan to stick around you'll need a name..."

Looking thoughtful he pulled some dried meat from a pocket on the outside of the bag, offering the larger chunks to the tunnelsnakes before giving a smaller bit to his new firelizard. Landing on a nearby chair Phaerix peered up at the smaller burgundy, offering a gentle croon of encouragement. It wasn't so bad, as long as he could fly faster than the tunnelsnakes he would probably not get eaten. Ladon settled next to Phaerix and shook his head, the tunnelsnakes wouldn't eat him even if he was slow - the older burgundy was clearly just messing with their fair's newest member. "Well, ah suppose Deon is a good name, what do you think?" The young burgundy looked thoughtful before giving a little chirp then he was in the air again flitting around His' other shoulder, poking the tunnelsnakes before zipping away again almost as if he was laughing at them. A stern look from Se'ng had the little daredevil settling back onto the initial perch he had chosen. "One of these times they'll take part of your tail off and you won't find it so funny."

Seeming to suddenly remember the grayrider in front of him he looked back at her, "Well it seems ah've added a new member to my entourage."

---------

Led by the hand Roselle followed behind the little girl who looked more and more like her father with each passing day. "Fingers out of your mouth please Rosian," she gently chided the toddler who minded her after a moment - if only because they had reached their destination and now she was too distracted to keep her fingers in her mouth. Hands clasped in the air towards the clutch and she let out a gleeful giggle. Swooping her daughter up Roselle shook her head a bit, "You seem to think that you need one of everything that moves around here."

Bouncing her daughter against her side on her hip she looked over what remained of the eggs and the firelizards that had already hatched. "You already have a pillie, I'm not sure you're really old enough to take care of a firelizard."

Hands waved as she leaned forward trying to break free of her mother's grasp, "Wings! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiings!" Shushing the girl she moved a bit closer in an effort to appease her, least she begin throwing a real fit and need to be pulled out of the dining hall.

"We will watch but that's it. Oh do you see that one there? What color is that, Rosian?" Roselle pointed to the little pink firelizard and smiled as the girl perked up, "Pink! Pink pink pink!"

A light giggle bounced Krys’ shoulders, watching as more and more hathclings poured into the world. The Burgundy was large, or at least certainly larger than his pink sister, and they seemed to enjoy one another’s company. While her eyes followed the two hatchlings about, an ear was trained on Se’ng’s words, nodding in agreement. The Dining Hall did seem to be the place to doze tonight. ”Emith doesn’t see the point in pets,” she mused. ”But she’s accepted that I like them. I doubt she’d appreciate me getting another, though. I’d already had Whiting and Drahaus before I Impressed her, so she didn’t really have a choice in the company.”

Her eyes landed on the younger male as the small burgundy seemed to decide that he was a good pick. She flashed a bit of a smile, a nonverbal congrats to the fellow rider. However, it slipped away as quickly as it had come at the sight of not one, but two tunnelsnakes winding their way up his form. She had always known them to be a nuisance at best, but now people were owning them? She didn’t look up at first, watching with keen fascination as Se’ng orchestrated the entire Impression amongst himself, the burgundy, the tunnelsnakes, and two more flits that appeared, presumably his as well. She didn’t look up at first when he addressed her, but a few moments was long enough of a time frame for her mind to register his comment. ”It seems you have,” she murmured, eyes once again flickering to the tunnelsnakes. ”I’m sorry, I just didn’t know that ‘snakes had been tamed around here.” She looked to him again, eyes full of mild embarrassment and many, many questions that didn’t know where to begin. The Impression of the lighter Pink was lost on her, attention fully captured by Akurra and Lotan.

Ly'on barely heard the tiny sound at his feet, but he did see the little pink dart over to him. Beaming, he knelt down to pink up the little creature. His own fire lizards crowded around curiously to see the new coming, especially Star who seemed delighted to have another female around. Star hopped out of her pocket to join the pink in Ly'on's hands, chirping and nuzzling her happily. The pink nuzzled her back tentatively while watching the males shyly. It was a big family, but they all seemed pretty nice and happy to see her.

Well, almost everyone. Gruyeth was giving a resigned groan in Ly'on's mind that bled out to the little fire lizards. Why am I not surprised? he asked darkly. He could hardly complain that the little pests liked his boy so much though. He was a pretty likable little fellow after all. It was jut a pity he had to share the attention sometimes. What'll yah call this one? It's too scared and small. Chicken maybe? Gruyeth chuckled at his own suggestion.

Ly'on rolled his eyes and rubbed the little pink with a finger. "Don't mind him," he told her kindly. "He's like that to everyone. I'll call you Flower, because you're pretty like one." Smiling as Flower curled happily in his hand with Star, Ly'on moved to find his new friend some food.

“Hurry uuuuuuuup,” Kolbi tugged his twin, “Or we’re gonna be too late!”

Jemi obliged, managing to finally pull on the boot he’d only gotten half of his foot into before Kolbi had begun pulling him through the halls. “I’m comin’, relax.” Privately, he was just as eager as his brother to make in time, and so have a chance at Impressing one of the little fire lizards he’d seen on everyone’s shoulders for turns. It would be nice to have a way to send messages back home…assuming anyone was left.

Kolbi just thought they looked cool on people’s shoulders.

He skidded to a stop near the crowd, hopping up on a bench to see better. Their voices had dropped, but the height hadn’t kicked in just yet, for all that their faces were starting to lose some of their childhood roundness to leaner, straighter lines. He swept a his messy bangs out of his face, hand lingering by his eyes as he peered at the basket. “Hey are we too late?”

Jemi glanced hopefully up, but tempered his expectations, sitting down to carefully lace up the wayward boot, so he would be ready if Kolbi decided to dart off somewhere else when this was over. When that was done, he wasn’t entirely certain what else to do with himself, so his hands fidgeted in his lap until he noticed and made them lay quietly instead.

Kolbi hopped down from the bench, stomach rumbling as he did – the fire lizards weren’t the only hungry ones. They’d have to get lunch after the hatching was over.

The Pink didn’t seem that interested in moving to find hers for the time being the two remaining intact eggs seemed to be more than obliging however with the darker of the two Hatching first revealing a very pale in colour Cyan. Of course that might not be obvious considering the fact that she was more white than Cyan except on her eyelids and her neck ridges were oddly long and purple in colour looking more like hair than anything else with a curled tail with the same shade as her ridges. The Cyan didn’t seem to care much about how unusual she looked, taking it all in stride it seems even so much as taking pride in her appearance showing it off as she cleaned herself.

The final egg and the largest by a good margin cracked open without much fanfare revealing a rather pale in colour Purple stood there in the remains of the egg that he came out of. The Purple seemed more interested in his Cyan sister instead of finding his or properly cleaning himself up instead hoped over the remains of the two eggs in front of him to be closer to his sister though not doing much of anything else just sitting there for a good while without much reaction from his sister. The remaining Pink came up to the Purple and after a quick back and forth that only a firelizard could really understand the Purple took off from the basket looked around that the group that was assembled before landing on Jemi’s shoulder.

Loyal to almost the detriment of himself and quite selfless at times, this Purple is more than willing to follow the person he looks to the ends of Pern for their sake if with a few snarky comments and jokes along the way. He is good with assisting others, emotionally stable even among of the most quirky personalities that Pern has to offer, good with carrying things both between and in straight flight, strong sense of honour, hardworking, and honest is some of his more admirable qualities. That being said if he gets in a position of power it might go straight to his head, can be pretty stubborn and proud at times, rude, has a hard time confessing feelings he has towards the opposite gender, can be possessive of his at times to the point of jealousy, and has hoarding tendencies that one might have to curb once in a while before it gets out of hand. It seems that at times, especially when things are otherwise going well for him, his luck does goes downhill and anything and everything nonlethal that can go wrong with him does but he continues on with fairly the same attitude with a pretty high tolerance for pain.

The Pink turned her attention towards her remaining sister though the Cyan didn’t seem that interested in moving at the moment and was getting awfully hungry considering the fact that she had been out of the shell the longest of the six of them. Giving a final glance over to the Cyan, the remaining Pink launched herself off of the basket she was born in landing on Krysthanine’s shoulder.

To many of those on the outside looking in this Pink might seem to be just happy-go-lucky and enthusiastic just for her own sake but there’s a lot more depth when you get to know her. This Pink isn’t just content with maintaining her own happiness however, actually most of the time you can find her trying to make others happy and seems to have an extremely good memory about others like likes, dislikes, and special dates though she does put a lot of emphasis on happy occasions rather than sad ones. This Pink also enjoys pulling pranks, though she considers it all to be in good fun and doesn’t mean to hurt anyone physically or emotionally with her pranks, as well as putting a lot of emphasis on spending time with family and family traditions. This Pink also puts a great emphasis on promises; one of the easiest ways to anger her is to break a promise the other being hurting her friends. Though she is good with other more extroverted people and Dragonkin her typical tactics can be pretty hit and miss with more introverted people and Dragonkin and can have troubles explaining her train of thought to others. She also doesn’t take things in halves, she’s either completely in or not at all with this girl, and tends to be pretty honest to the point of being blunt or rude at times. There is a side to this Pink that doesn’t come up all that often, since she tends to bounce back pretty quickly, if she thinks that she is being replaced or nobody appreciates her she can get pretty depressed and/or paranoid.

Though she took a good while to clean herself off to her own satisfaction, the Cyan was ready to greet the world, if by greet the world she meant seeing whoever hadn’t stepped aside to attend to her brothers and sisters that had Impressed before she did. She just peered out of the basket for a good while before getting up and with a surprising amount of grace considering her rather oddly spiralled tail landed on Lintara’s shoulder.

Though typically firelizards aren’t exactly known for dexterity this Cyan seems to be surprisingly good with a needle and thread as well as a good sense of ascetics and for whatever reason finding stones that would go with what she is working on. Though goal orientated she is also a firm believer in work life balance, frequently making time for pet projects on top of things like projects that was given to her by others, free time, time with family, and time with friends. She tends to be overdramatic at times, finicky, vain, tends to favour form over function, and can get too focused on what she is doing to the point of being rude or seemingly ungrateful at the time. She can also be very generous her time and effort, willingly giving her time and effort in helping those that are close to her frequently with only an implicit ‘I owe you’ as payment. She might wind up taking full advantage of these favours if she’s really under stress, however. Though at times it doesn’t seem like it, especially under stress or in a situation that she wants no part in, she has pretty high standards both for herself, those that she cares about (including the person she looks to), and the things she does more than willing to give up on her goals at least for the time being than bend or break her morals or standards.

“Well it looks like all of the eggs are Hatched and the firelizards have Impressed, if you want any of the shell pieces you probably should get them now seeing as the basket will be cleaned out after this shells and all,” said Tarele not sure what more to say.

Krysthanine, upon hearing the sounds of two rambunctious teen boys clambering their way to see the goings-on of the hatching, took it upon herself to shift a few steps out of the way to accommodate them. She grinned a bit at Kolbi and Jemi as one hopped upon a bench to try to see better. ”Not quite, but it is starting to wind down,” she offered, showing the open spot to one of them to take. She could easily see over them anyways. ”I’m just here because the dad was insistent.” She laughed a bit to herself, amused by the frequency she felt she had to explain herself.

As she moved, one of the last couple of eggs hatched into a… A White? A Purple? No, she was too small to be a purple. And too female, for she was definitely a she. Her size was the only thing really to betray herself to be a Cyan in the grayrider’s eyes. And her tail was strangely curled. Was that an anomaly? Would she be okay? Concern etched itself into the corners of Krys’ mouth in the form of a small frown. But she seemed okay, the little one, as she seemed to show off her oddities with pride. Well, can’t be too concerned if she didn’t seem concerned. A true Purple hatched shortly after her, and began to take the time to be near his strange sister. The remaining Pink, however, bounded over to him, chattering away about things Krys only dreamed to understand, before the Purple picked himself up and Impressed to one of the twins that had only recently joined the crowd. She grinned broadly at him then, and clapped a bit. ”See? Still going strong, strong enough to get you a new friend!”

The grayrider turned her attention back to the remaining flits, amused by the Pink’s antics as she tried her best to interact with all of her siblings. She was endearing in her own way, and almost hoped that she would Impress with one of her siblings. But no, that wasn’t meant to be, for she felt the small bond before she felt the weight on her shoulder as the Pink chose her. Blue eyes widened in slight shock, but only for a moment before her features softened. ”Aren’t you just a sweetheart, huh?” she cooed to the flit as she made herself comfortable behind Krysthanine’s head. The young thing was excited about their time they would have together, yes, but she was also tired from pulling so many antics in the basket, and she’d love to snuggle while she napped! A bit of meat was happily accepted from the new bond. ”Amity. That’s your name. It suits you.” Krys heard a small trill of joy in response. Yes, that name suited her very much.

Whiting was beyond thrilled to be joined by one of his children. He puffed himself out in pride, trumpeting joy and excitement to his bonded and his brother, the latter of whom snorted and flew off to get some proper rest – but not without snagging some shell shards first. Krysthanine turned to Tarele with a smile. ”Thank you for letting Whiting be… well, Whiting,” she said to the wherhandler. ”I know he can be a bit much, but he seems happy with everything.” A hand reached up to calm down the aforementioned Blue. ”Have a wonderful rest of your night!”
